Medical & Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) is a test conducted in Pakistan each year for admission in MBBS and BDS degrees.
The MCAT test is conducted by the University of Health Sciences Lahore after fulfilling the criteria of Pakistan medical and dental council PMDC.
All PMDC recognized medical colleges and universities in Punjab province requires the MDCAT MCQs based test for their admissions.

UHS MDCAT Syllabus and Marks Division
The MDCAT Entry Test Syllabus consists of questions from below mentioned 4 subjects:
- Biology
- Physics
- Chemistry
- English
Number of Questions in MDCAT Entry Test
There are a total of 200 MCQs in MDCAT entry test.
Time Allocation for MDCAT Entry Test
The total time allocated for MDCAT entry test is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
MDCAT Entry Test Total Marks
UHS MDCAT contains 200 marks as a whole. Each question carries 01 marks.
The division of questions is as follows:
UHS MDCAT Entry Test Paper Pattern
Here is the division of questions according to subjects.
- Biology = 80
- Chemistry = 60
- Physics = 40
- English = 20
TOTAL MARKS = 200
Each question will carry 01 marks so total marks are 200.
The duration of the Test will be 150 minutes (2 ½ hours).
According to new rules, there will be no Negative Marking in the test.
MDCAT Passing Marks
According to new rules, minimum 60% marks or 120 marks our of 200 marks are required to pass the Entry Test.
Minimum 70% aggregate is required for Admission to MBBS and Minimum 60% aggregate required for admission to BDS Program.
Merit will be calculated according to the below formula:
50% weightage from Intermediate + 50% weightage from Entry Test
